Karrawa Guest House - Kirkwall

The karrawa's location was quite distant. The check-in process was a nightmare, not as smooth as you'd expect for such 'highly rated' place. I also woudl ve been looking forward to a complimentary upgrade, but alas, that didn't happen. I almost wrote a good review, but just couldn't.

Absolutely great hotel that has quiet location on how to get off the island. Attentive staff, newly renovated and great modern room with a magnificent walk in shower. Savoury breakfast with porridge for the start of the day.

While the guest house is in a quiet area, the location is frustratingly distant from central Kirkwall. It's a real trek to get to the town center, and the walk feels lengthy, especially when carrying luggage. The check-in process was not as smooth as I hoped.

The hosts were super cute, and the breakfasts were delish, i mean, ur gonna be stuffed all day after. My double room was nice and tidy, and i got some good sleep. The location was a chill walk to town too, cool. Totally worth it for a cozy stay!

Chur, I had a sweet as stay! The room was spacious and clean, but the location was a bit far from town. The breakfast was heaps yummy!

The spacious room and clean ensuite made it comfortable. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with varied choices. We visited the local museum and the fine cathedral, both worth it. I highly recommend this spot for a cozy group getaway!

The only downside was the walk to explore the town center. It felt a bit long after a day of sightseeing.

The king double room was warm and super clean, with great amenities like a tv, electric kettle, and body soap. There was also a nice patio outside. The daily breakfasts were well-cooked and made our mornings perfect. Perfect hospitality all around!

This cozy place was perfect for our family of seven! We loved the tasty cooked breakfasts and the host was friendly. The room was spacious, allowing our kids to play comfortably, and everything was super clean.

My kids wished the Wi-Fi was faster for their streaming.

Wi-Fi worked well. Loved the tv. Not enough luggage storage though.

The host was cute. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to, with plenty of options to choose from, that Scottish breakfast was filling!

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering how nice everything was, it was still worth it.

Just had an amazing 2-night stay in a cozy double room! The breakfasts were scrumptious, especially the local coffee! My room was spacious, clean, and the views were fine. Definitely returning!
